Heathrow Airport Retail Outlets

A recent comment in the Times claimed that Heathrow Airport is a "fine gateway in to the UK and entirely representative of the commercialism of the country."

A reader quickly responded:

I decided some years ago NEVER to spend money at retail outlets in UK air terminals because I felt that as passengers, we were being 'managed' into extra spending and there is nothing on sale there that is not available on the high street.

If all the passengers who suffered in air terminals joined together to boycott the retail side, BAA's would be forced to pay more attention to real customer service.

What do you think about the retail outlets at your airport?
